Ice blue fused glass icicle hanging decorations. Ideal for a Christmas tree or hanging on decorative twigs.

Each icicle is handmade so the size will vary slightly but they are approx 9-10cm long and 2-3cm wide (at the widest point).

We love the glass to look as natural as possible so we don’t use metal hooks to hang the icicles. Instead we fire a hole into the glass itself and the icicles are hung using invisible thread.

Our glass icicles are formed by hand cutting the shape from sheet glass. Two triangles of glass are placed on top of each other making each decoration 6mm thick. Between the layers of glass we sprinkle a small amount of a black copper oxide powder. When this is fired in the kiln the heat transforms the black powder into an ice blue bubble effect – perfect for an icicle!
