Description
Each of these glass Easter Eggs are handcrafted individually. They come in a choice of four Easter themed colours – bright yellow, and pastel pink, blue & green – and make fantastic hanging ornament for your Easter home decor. The glass is also weather proof so they can be hung in the garden to create a great backdrop to your Easter Egg hunt or outdoor lunch.
The glass marble effect created shows the multiple layers of glass in the eggs which catch the sun beautifully. The glass melts organically in the kiln meaning the marbled effect is different in each individual egg giving them a uniqueness.
These make a fabulous Easter Gift, or addition to your own Easter decorations, whether you buy one to complement other ornaments, or a whole set.
The details:
Each Glass Easter Egg is 5cm x 4cm (at the widest point) and 6mm deep.
They are attached to a metal bail and hung with ribbon.

The process:
The Glass Easter Eggs are created by fusing 12 layers of glass together creating very fine layers. The glass is then cut into chunks and fired again on its side to allow the layer to spread and swirl into the egg shape. Finally the edges are smoothed with a grinder and they are fired a final time to create the high shine finish.
