Bring a strong, expressive artistic statement into your living space with this handcrafted black and white fused glass suncatcher from the Atmospheric series. Suspended inside a deep white shadow-box frame, the floating glass disc captures shifting natural daylight throughout the day, casting sharp, graphic reflections and soft grey shadows across your room.
Handcrafted Kiln formed Glass
Every glass disc is created in my studio by layering carefully selected shades of art glass before firing them in the kiln. As the kiln reaches high temperatures, the glass melts and flows together naturally to form bold, marbled ribbons of obsidian black and clean white. Because of the multi-layer firing process, no two pieces ever melt in the exact same way—giving you a genuinely unique work of contemporary glass art.
Easy Home Styling & Display
Unlike traditional window suncatchers that rely on suction cups or wall hooks, this piece is designed inside a freestanding 6×6 inch frame. It sits flat and secure on any surface, making it an easy addition to:
-
Deep windowsills where strong direct light highlights the contrast between opaque and translucent glass
-
Living room mantelpieces and architectural display shelving
-
Home office desks and bookcases needing a striking, contemporary art focal point
A Thoughtful Handmade Gift
Whether you are looking for a distinctive housewarming gift, a birthday present for someone who loves bold interior accents, or a dramatic piece for your own home, this fused glass item comes beautifully presented. Each framed suncatcher arrives securely packaged in a sturdy gift box, making it easy to wrap and send.
